Venerable Antonietta Meo (Print)

Antonietta Meo died at the age of six-year-old in 1936 after a year-long battle with cancer. She wrote 162 letters to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Blessed Virgin Mary, telling them how much she loved them, and how much she wanted to suffer for the conversion of sinners. "Pain is like cloth," she said, "the stronger it is, the more it is worth." Pope Benedict XVI gave her the title Venerable in 2007.
