St. Mark Ji Tianxiang was a Chinese doctor who was martyred in 1900 during the vicious persecution of Christians during the Boxer rebellion. He was an opium addict at the time of his death. St. Mark Ji Tianxiang died an addict and became a saint! His story holds a powerful message for all of us striving for holiness.
