This artwork is inspired by John 20:11-16, when Mary Magdalene looks for the Resurrected Jesus at the empty tomb, but mistakes him for the gardener until he calls her name: "Jesus said to her, 'Mary.' She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, 'Rabboni!', which means 'Teacher'."
